Role within the church
Elder and full-time pastor. I want to see people come to know God and find life and hope through his Son, Jesus Christ. But I also want to see them discipled: to grow in their faith and be equipped to serve God with the gifts he has given to them in their homes, neighbourhoods and world.
I married Yvonne, my best friend, in 1988. We have four wonderful sons.
I was born into a home where my parents were both Christians. This didn’t make me a Christian, but it helped me understand who Jesus Christ was. I have no idea when I became a Christian, but I suspect it was when I was very young. I spent ten years of my life in science as a physicist before becoming a full-time pastor.
Too many to list. But lately I’ve returned to Psalm 1.
I love blogging, astronomy when I get the time, reading, playing guitar and listening to Pink Floyd and other bands on YouTube (missed the concerts as a teenager). I enjoy most kinds of music except Heavy Metal and Opera (sorry). Dylan, Keane, Coldplay, Travis, that sort of thing.
Favourite place on this planet
Good question. I have lived in Karachi (Pakistan), St. Paul (Minnesota), Southampton, Wolverhampton, Harrogate, Liverpool and now Worcester. Like the seasons, each has a charm of its own.
