Mission is at the heart of Manor Park, as we seek to follow our Saviour's command to go into all the world and spread the good news of the Gospel of salvation through faith in Him, and to present a regular challenge for a personal response to the needs of our world, in the hope that we will be sending and supporting our own missionaries in the future.
We encourage our members to share their faith within their own circle of friends and neighbours, and we reach out to our local community in various ways with events, guest services and literature etc. Our children and youth groups also have mission as an important part of their plans, to grow young Christians and instill a mission heart while they are young.
A Missions Team coordinates mission beyond the church, and the church supports a number of missionaries working both locally and abroad. The church aims to give 20% of its annual income to individuals and organisations involved in mission.

The church also supports the work of Tearfund, Open Doors and Barnabas Fund, organisations dedicated to famine and disaster relief and development, as well as Christians who are being persecuted for their faith. As new natural disasters or famine crises occur, the emergency needs are presented to the congregation for their own personal response. Jesus spoke so much about, and His life demonstrated, His heart for the poor and needy of the world, and the responsibility of those who have plenty towards those who do not.
Manor Park has five Home Groups, which meet fortnightly for Bible Study and fellowship, each of which supports at least one missionary or full-time worker in a more personal way, keeping in regular contact with them and praying for them. A five-minute Prayer Focus is prepared and presented monthly by each group in turn in a Sunday worship service.
Our Young People's group and Sunday Young Church both sponsor a child with HIV/Aids living in South Africa. Individual families in the church also sponsor children in similar ways.
Two Missions Sundays are planned each year, when a particular mission is highlighted and maybe a missionary or mission representative brings a multi-media report on their work.
The third Tuesday of certain months is also devoted to a mission presentation and prayer.
