At Manor Park we passionately believe that everyone in the church has a role to play and a gift to be used. Some of those gifts are leadership gifts of one kind or another. Throughout the website you will discover some of those many gifts in use in the Church. In this section we focus on leadership gifts.
Our vision as a church is to be obedient to the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” – Matthew 28:18-20
Following his words and using the gifts and resources that God has blessed us with we have produced a plan outlining how we practically and prayerfully pursue that vision as a church. Please click here to view a copy of that plan.
“Deacons” are practical workers in the church. They take responsibility for leading various practical tasks within the church ranging from catering to finances to the public address system. They receive regular training to help them in their role.
An “elder” is a spiritual leader in the church. We have six elders at the moment, each of which takes responsibility for different areas in church life. One of the elders is a full-time pastor who oversees the work of the church. We are passionate about training and every elder runs through initial training and on-going training.
